Sathiya Design Patterns of Gujarat

Rangoli is the very important part of rich Indian culture. It is usually performed on festivals and rituals. It is drawing art to design various patterns using rice powder, stone color and other hard color. It is called differently in different part of India.

In Gujarat, A rich traditional state of India, it is recited as “Sathiya”. Sathiya is a symbolic figure of purity. It is usually applied at every king of smaller or major rituals by Hindus.

Sathiya design comprises dots and lines. Lines are drawn across each other. Dotes are put in each part drawn by lines. Usually kumkum or rice powder is used for drawing Sathiya rangoli design.
